About Us

Gillian Greig Music was founded in 1974, opening 3 days a week under single ownership. It didn't take long for it to become obvious that it was filling a much needed gap in the market, providing music for the many schools and societies in the area, the highly successful annual Taunton Music Festival, as well as the growing number of amateur musicians. It became a meeting ground for music lovers and a place to spend many happy hours browsing. We have moved location twice and now employ 2 full time and 5 part time staff, most of whom are musically qualified and thus able to respond to a wide range of music-related queries.
